Overview

Dynavoid is an EPS void form designed for use beneath structural concrete slabs in expansive soil and heaving subgrade conditions. During construction, it supports concrete and rebar loads until the slab becomes self-supporting. After the slab is self-supporting, Dynavoid acts as a dynamic inclusion beneath the concrete. As underlying soils move upward, its engineered leg geometry and thermoplastic creep allow the form to collapse in a controlled way, creating relief space and helping reduce damaging uplift pressure beneath the slab. Dynavoid is made from closed-cell EPS, giving it all-weather performance in wet or freezing conditions while adding under-slab insulation value. It can also be cut to fit around columns, penetrations, and other slab details.
