Overview

DECK-O-FOAM is a closed-cell polyethylene expansion joint filler designed to create clean, consistent joints in concrete while helping manage movement between adjacent sections. Lightweight, flexible, and non-absorbent, it’s easy to install in both interior and exterior applications—from sidewalks and driveways to parking decks, pool decks, and large paving projects. As concrete expands and contracts, the material compresses to help maintain joint integrity without complicating installation. A key advantage is the built-in, pre-scored strip, which creates a uniform sealant reservoir and acts as a bond breaker. This helps support the joint sealant material, improve overall sealant performance, and reduce material waste and labor. DECK-O-FOAM installs quickly, can be formed around curves, and is compatible with most cold-applied joint sealants, making it a practical, cost-effective solution for forming and maintaining expansion, contraction, and isolation joints in concrete construct
